If you remember a few months ago I posted about a reusable cup, and how I had started looking after my plastic wastage. Once I had fixed my coffee cups and cutlery I was settled until my gorgeous 1L floral bottle from New Look broke and I was left to buy a new one. Initially I was really set on buying the same exact one. It worked, I was drinking a lot of water but then I had to rethink my plan, at least for the moment.
As you might know I’m going back to Italy for a couple of weeks at the end of the month and the New Look bottle, being really bulky, would be a pain to bear; plus, knowing my mother she would never let me carry around my backpack without complaining for the entire day until I have an oversize migraine, so I would have to carry my bottle by hand and it’ll probably end up being left at home. But what if I had a smaller bottle? Maybe one that I can leave behind in the car without the fear of coming back to stale boiling water?
And so after some research I ended up having a good Idea of what I was looking for: a stainless steel, double walled with a vacuum seal! I Just needed to navigate my way through the possibilities to find one that I could want to carry with me everywhere, that was wallet friendly and that had a great response from previous customers.
The choice fell on the Chilly’s bottles that, with their amazing designs stole my heart ( FLAMINGOS, GUYS, PINK FLAMINGOS! ) and who promised 24h of ice-cold drinks and 12 of warm drinks no matter the outside conditions.
The bottle arrived last week and its as gorgeous as it was in the preview but I decided to wait a week to write this post because I wanted to try it out and see if it deliver the things it promises.
First of all I might have a faulty one but I have to say that my drink, while staying chilly for a long time doesn’t stay ice cold. In fact If I put ice into it, the ice will be gone after not even 10 mn! (Bear in mind, I’m still in London and I haven’t left the bottle in the sun – yet.) I’m worried that the bottle might be defective though because I have read reviews of people saying that they’ve put ice into the bottle and drank from it through the night and found the ice to still be there in the morning! So I’ve contacted their customer service, but I still wanted to give you guys a first impression.
All in all is an amazing bottle, I can guarantee at least 10 hours of fairly chilly drink while being stationed on a running laptop in a warm room and nothing more — which is still pretty impressive results! Just, maybe, not what I was looking for.
I will keep you guys updated and see what happens with their customer services, but I will welcome any insight you might have so feel free to share your experience with me down in the comments!
