BLOGMAS #3 · A non-Christmassy December TBR

I know, I know, in October I had sworn off this type of posts: ” No more TBR lists for me!” I said, ” They just enable my reading slumps and I’m not going to follow them anyway!” Well, with 2018 coming to an end and with only two books left to my goal I thought I’d give it another go, especially because I’m going to be busy between work and blogmas; also, I think that even if I don’t end up reading this three books I’m proposing, I can still give you guys an idea of what to read. Now, as a heads up, this are not Christmassy books sorry to disappoint.

Talking as fast as I can; Lauren Graham

91cgdx44ivlThis is my current read, a fast pace, hilarious dive in into the life of Lauren Graham life focusing especially on the Gilmore girls scenario and I was a massive GG fan can’t believe it took me so long to get my hands on this! I’m only at the first few chapters but I’ve got no doubt I’m going to enjoy myself immensely as Graham’s narrative is hilarious and engaging! I can’t wait to read some more!

The Great Gatsby; Scott Fitzgerald

9781509849079Now, I know, I’m so late to the party I can practically go home, but I don’t know how I didn’t read this book in school and I managed to avoid the movie and every other adaptation, it’s unforgivable! I would like to say this never happens but I’m so out of the loop with so many things that by now I’m quite used to it! Anyway, I thought it would make an amazing addition to my books read this year and it would be the perfect book to complete my Goodreads challenge. ( which yes, I lowered to 50 mid-year)

Throne of Glass; Sarah J. Maas

7896527Every year, for the past three years, I’ve chosen a book for Christmas, bought it for myself as a Christmas gift and then I spent my Christmas day reading it with my fireplace at loud on my laptop screen and a scented candle. Yes, I have friends, but In London all the public transports stop for an entire day and Uber rates are prohibitive on the 25th! So, even if this year I’m toying with the idea of saving up and paying them to share that day with some friends I’m still going to bring on the tradition and for this year I choose Throne of Glass. Everyone is raving about it, the series is complete, I just need to start it! If it’s as good as Maas other series, I’m going to binge read the whole thing and start my 2019 with a good foot, if it isn’t I can honestly say I tried! So, yeah, that’s my pick for Christmas day!

All done, that’s my non Christmassy TBR for December! Don’t worry, non Grinch people in need of inspiration! A Christmassy list Is coming soon! Stay tuned! And happy Blogmas!

    1. AHAHAH I would never shoot you ( Just don’t say the same about P&P) ( JK) I thought of watching the movie first too, but The book is rather thin and I think it’ll be easier for me to read that before… I think I’ll maybe stream the movie’s soundtrack tho!

      1. The movie is good, but I’d also suggest you to look into the bbc miniseries first, even just for colin firth in that! ( spoiler allert, he gets wet.)
